TheStar.com - Appeal court judges rule officer must face criminal trial: "A panel of appeal court judges has ruled that a Toronto police officer whose trial on sexual assault was thrown out because the case took too long to be heard will have to face a criminal trial.

Const. Ned Maodus was charged more than four years ago after he was arrested in his Orangeville home by Ontario Provincial Police officers."
